What is permanent outdoor lighting?
Permanent outdoor lighting is a track of individually controlled LED bulbs installed along your rooflines, eaves, and peaks, where it stays year round.
At night it does whatever you tell it to from your phone, from a low warm white on an ordinary evening to full color for a holiday. It replaces the annual routine of hanging lights, the floodlight bolted to the eave, and the extension cord running across the porch.

How do we install your permanent lighting system?

We measure your roofline.
We measure the linear footage, count the corners, peaks, and dormers, and talk through which lines you actually want lit.

We match the track to your trim.
The channel comes in colors chosen to disappear into your fascia and soffit.

We install the track and run the wire out of sight.
The bulbs seat into the channel along the eave. Wiring gets tucked and routed so there is nothing visible from the ground.

We set it up on your phone and show you how to run it.
Before we leave, the HUB app is on your phone, your everyday warm white scene is saved, your schedule is set to sunset, and you have run it yourself once while we are still standing there.

Who backs it, and who installs it?
Gemstone bulbs are rated for 50,000 hours and every part carries a ten year manufacturer warranty, installed to the standard of a platinum-level authorized dealer so that warranty stays intact. What types of permanent lighting are there?
Broadly four. A track system like Gemstone, where individually controlled bulbs seat into a channel mounted up in the eave. Adhesive or tape mounted strip kits, the Govee style, that stick to the fascia. Rope light, which is a continuous tube rather than separate bulbs. And clip on strands, the seasonal ones that come down in January. Only the track systems are built to stay up year round and read as architectural lighting rather than decoration.
How long do Gemstone lights last?
The bulbs are rated for 50,000 hours, which works out to more than 20 years at six hours a night.
Can you see it during the day?
Not really. The track is color matched to your trim and sits up inside the eave. Most people have to be told where to look.
Will it hold up in Texas weather?
Yes. Bulbs are sealed, wiring is tucked away, and the control box stays inside your home. The system is surge protected against lightning and power blips.
Do I have to run color?
No, and most owners do not. Warm white at a low, even brightness is the everyday setting for the majority of our customers. Color is there for the nights you want it.
Does it work with Alexa or Google Home?
Yes. The HUB app pairs with Alexa and Google Home, so you can change a scene or shut it off by voice. Most owners still let the schedule handle the day to day and only reach for the app or a voice command when they want something specific.
How long does the install take?
Most homes are a one day install. Larger or more complicated rooflines can run into a second day, and we will tell you which yours is when we walk it.
Are you an authorized dealer?
Yes, platinum level. That matters for how the system goes in and for keeping the manufacturer warranty intact.
What if I only want part of my roofline lit?
That is a normal setup. We walk the house with you and light the lines that make sense for it. On a lot of homes, lighting everything is the wrong answer.
